Kookie's Korner (Isa's Mom)
Thursday 2/18/10 Update
Isa's surgery was yesterday to put in a port and remove bone marrow for tests.....She received her first round of chemo this a.m......she's a little trouper....God stay with her and keep her strong!
Stay strong, Sweetheart!! Grandma cannot wait to get there to see you. Will be flying out your way next Wednesday March 3...we will get to spend lots of time together on this visit...you will be back in the hospital by that time, but I'm going to be your overnight guest...we will have lots to giggle and talk about...love you to the moon and back!!!
Isa is still in bed not wanting to do nothing but sleep. Chemo makes her tired and she needs her rest. Around 9:00 a.m. I went outside to remove the snow. I looked up in the sky and started crying on how much Isa likes to remove the snow. Maybe next time if she is up to it she can remove the snow.
This morning Isa would not eat or drink anything so, I promised her something, something she always wanted. A Chihuahua Dog !!! I told her if she fights and tries to eat and be positive for as long as all her treatments go on then we will go and look for one in a doggie pound tomorrow. She started crying and smiling . :) :( :) That’s a good sign. So off we go to find a Chihuahua!!!!!!!!
That may be just what she needed...just the push to go on..something to care for. Please please try to eat something Isa and try to keep strong and FIGHT! Don't know the spanish pronounciations...but could use a word like promise, faith, hope or appropriate word for the name? I Love you Isa
We miss you very much and can't wait to see you! I can't believe your mom is buying you a dog! That is very exciting! We will have to go clothes shopping for it when you feel better! Make sure you keep your promise to your mom to fight and stay strong! We love you very much and Ethan said, "I love you sissy!" You and your family are in our prayers everyday!
