Back to school
Isa had a long vacation but know has trouble getting up and
going to school. This morning she had a tantrum (is there just thing of a tantrum
on a 14 yr old LOL) did Not want to go to School today. OMG I had to drag her
out of the house (she was crying) to get her to school. I feel like a bad mom
but know she is missing a lot of fun activities at school and her friends miss
her too.

RESULTS FOR TODAY OCT. 3 2012
ISA HAD A CT SCAN THIS MORNING AND THE DOCTORS SAID IT IS PNEUMONIA AND SCARING OF THE LUNGS DO TO RADIATION. WE HAVE TO OPTIONS THE FIRST ONE IS DOING SURGERY TO SEE WHAT TYPE OF PNEUMONIA IT IS. SO THEY CAN DO A BIOPSY TO GIVE HER THE RIGHT ANTIBIOTICS AND THE SECOND OPTION IS BUT A TUB DONE HER THROAT TO WASH OUT THE LUNGS AND CATCH THE FLUIDS THAT ARE IN HER LUNGS TO DO A BIOPSY.THE DOCTORS ARE RULING OUT THE FIRST OPTION BECAUSE ISA WILL NOT DO GOOD WITH THE ANESTHESIA .SHE IS NOT IN PAIN BUT DOES REQUIRE OXYGEN.WHEN ISA MOVES HER OXYGEN LEVEL GOES DOWN TO 60. NOT GOOD

Isa's Results
The
damage done by radiation therapy caused complications to Isa's lungs. Isa will have scarring of her tissue on her lungs, known as fibrosis.
Fibrosis of the lungs can show up years after the actual radiation treatment but in Isa's case it showed up to soon. That's way Isa has chronic shortness of breath. She is know taking medicen and is having test done but will not know anything till Aug 31.

Isa with attitude
Isa has not let me take any pictures of her lately. She is being a typical 13 yr old lady with attitude (lol) which that to me is a good thing. Just hope the attitude won't last to long (lol). I will try to sneak in a picture soon.
Isa is still having problems breathing. It's like if she has asthma. We are going today to see the Pulmonology Doctor. Just praying that the radiation didn't damage her lungs. Please keep praying for Isa. She has been in remission for 2months and praying that she would no longer go threw it again.

ER
Well, this was a scary trip coming back home. We decided to take a trip to Oklahoma City to visit grandpa where he was working. Stayed there for 4 days. We had to come back home in time for Isa' s CT scan on Thursday the 19. On the way back home one hour away from Wichita KS we had to call the Ambulance cus Isa was having a hard time breath. Her oxygen level was 76 (very low). We were at the hospital for 4 hour and still had 5hours to get home. We ened with a portabel oxygen for Isa. We traveled with Isa her three sister and her three cousins. Kids where tired and bored but we made it back in time (2am). What a trip to remember. :)

Radiation
Isa is finally done with radiation (June 28,2012). SO Happy.
Isa has been complaining of shortness of breath since July 4,2012. I took her to the Doctors and they said it was the side affect of radiation. Hope this goes away soon ,so she can be her old self again.

Kidney Stone
So, we had an appointment on Sunday 27 for labs to see if her platelets where going up. We got the results and they still low but did not need and platelets. After the appointment we decide to go to Crown center. So when we got there Isa started complaining of back pain. Well it got to the point that we ended up at Children's Mercy Hospital ER and got admited. The doctors did some tests and found out she has a kidney stone that is in the boarder line of not passing it on her own. Isa has been in the hospital seen then.

Mommy nurse
Ok, So here I am at the hospital. For the first time, I get to stay with my baby girl Isa. I (mom) have to learn how to change her dressings, and clean her hickman catheter. So I will be her nurse at home. Better being at home than at the hospital in a small room. Glad she's going home, we miss her.
